For eight years, Wear Hair For You has had the honor of instructing the class “ALL ABOUT WIGS” with the Life with Cancer Center in Fairfax VA. Wear Hair For You has also assisted in teaching wig classes at Virginia Hospital Center (Mayo Clinic) in Arlington VA. Due to its positive impact in the community, in 2006 the company was offer a two-year contract to offer wigs and provide private on site consultations for INOVA Fairfax Hospital supporting cancer patients. The entity, Positive Reflections Center was the focus for cancer patients at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, which is one of the most renown magnet hospital in the United States.

We have successfully completed our two year contract, and have expanded our service to the downtown Vienna area. Our knowledgeable staff provides free consultations and support when assisting clients with a wide variety of hair selections, human or synthetic. We offer a cosmetic hair change that is convenient and natural looking.

Laura Waites is the owner of Wear Hair For You LLC. Seeing a need for high quality wig products after two years of research, Laura started her company in 2001. Laura has since been in commercial space for twenty one years and her shop Wear Hair For You is located in downtown Vienna Va. Laura’s business specializes in medical hair loss and over 90% of her clients are cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy. Laura is a certified hair wig specialist. In addition, Laura had taught hair wig classes at Life with Cancer in Fairfax, Virginia for eight years.

Laura was also a contractor with INOVA Fairfax Hospital for two years where she worked on site at the hospital dealing specifically with cancer patients. Laura has earned a stellar reputation among the medical community for her reputation in working with cancer patients and her technology advanced hair wigs. Laura Waites had also dedicated her time, serving on the the board of Fairfax Breast Health Network. Laura recently held a board position for two and half years and strongly feels it was a privilege to have participated, assisted, and helped grow a much needed service. This organization represents all of the residence of Fairfax County in providing services to people in need as they transition through their cancer treatment. Laura Waites truly believes the path she walks is to honor human service.

Laura Waites is a certified medical hair loss practitioner. By receiving her certification through the prestigious AMCA (American Medical Certification Association).

This institution provides medical certifications to persons that meet the highest curriculum and testing standards in medical hair loss certification. USTI (US Trichology Institute), is a full Trichology field of study that performs an unprecedented step forward in Trichology training.
Trichology is the study of hair.

Based on up to date medical and Trichology studies, this training includes the most advanced treatment and programs available for hair loss. After completing these programs of study, the individual is ready to enter the field as a dermatology assistant or an assistant for oncology patients and other medical hair loss issues.
